Founder of Top five startup of India

So here in the series next lies the top startup of India. Their founders struggle and the perseverance make these startup to stand top in the row. Lets start with the number #1 startup of India. The ranking is taken from startupranking.com


1.) Freshdesk

Freshdesk provides service solution to small and mid-sized business that need automated support department. They are best fro startups and freelances. They also offered free plan. They majorly deal in customer support and tickets solution.

They have started company in 2010. Girish M (MBA from University of Madras), Former VP of Zoho corp share his hands with his colleague Shan K(B.E. TPGIT, Vellore) to build the prototype in 2010. Both of them never turns back and given the pace to the growth of company. The magic happens they crack deal with their first client  Australia’s Atwell College. Just after their first client they won Microsoft BizSpark Startup Challenge. Girish believes in focussing on matching roles to the core strengths of people and not force fitting hires into pre-set roles. That, the company says, has worked out well for them with many freshers scaling up to becoming “rockstar team leads”.

2.) Zomato 

Zomato helps you to discover food places around you. Reviews and star ranking on restaurant helps you to decide the place according to your need. Started in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah.

The service began as "Foodiebay", conceptualised in the cafeteria of Bain & Company. Customers would line up to look at the menus to order food during the lunch hour. Realising this took up a large amount of everyone's time on a daily basis, Deepinder and Pankaj decided to scan restaurant menus and upload it on an intranet website for Bain employees. The website saw a lot of traffic and was launched publicly in 2008. The website began by listing restaurants in Delhi NCR, and quickly expanded to Kolkata and then Mumbai.
In March 2010, Foodiebay was named among the top 25 most promising internet companies in India by SmartTechie Magazine.  Soon after, Info Edge (India), the parent company of the Naukri.com group, invested ₹4.7 crore (US$1 million) in the business. In November 2010, Foodiebay was renamed as Zomato. Zomato raised its second round of funding of US$3.5million (₹13.5 crores) from the same investor in September 2011. The following year, Zomato raised its third round, of another $2.5 million followed by its fourth round worth US$10 million from Info Edge in early 2013, giving them a 57.9% stake in Zomato.

3.) Myntra

Myntra is e-commerce company of life-style product. Founded in 2007 and now owned by Flipkart. Founded by Mukesh Bansal along with co-founder Vineet Saxena and Ashutosh Lawania. The the beginning the company was operated B2B. The website allows customers to customize and personalize products. In 2011 company expanded its catalogue to include fashion and lifestyle product.

Mukesh is alumini of IIT and very cool person. Its not surprise to see this owner in denims, T-shirts and Slippers in office with a great sense of fashion. He is known as very intelligent and hardworking among his fellows.The Big Billion Day sale was executed under leadership of Muskesh. It was sharp business acumen of Mukesh that led to the acquisition of Myntra by Flipkart in 2013 for INR 2400 Crore.
Jabong.com is an Indian fashion and lifestyle e-commerce portal, selling apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, beauty products, fragrances, home accessories and other fashion and lifestyle products.It was co-founded by Arun Chandra Mohan, Lakshmi Potluri and Praveen Sinha.

Jabong sells shoes, apparel, accessories, home décor and furniture through its website. The e-store at present carries over 1000 brands and over 90,000 products. Other products include jewellery and gold coins. In November 2012, Jabong.com and cricket equipment maker SG Cricket presented a range of Virender Sehwag cricket bats — VS319 — which was sold exclusively through Jabong.
5.) Olacabs

Founded by Bhavish Agrawal and Ankit Bhati Olacabs is one of revolutionary product in India. It solve problem of lots of people to get a cab within 5 min (including me as well :) ). Originally started in Mumbai and now based in Bangalore.  The company has expanded to a network of more than 200,000 cars across 85 cities. In November 2014, Ola expanded to incorporate autos on-trial basis in Bangalore and now available in most of the cities of India.

Ola provides different types of cab service ranging from economic to luxury travel. The cabs are reserved through a mobile app. This cab service supports both cash and cashless payment options with Ola money. It claims to clock an average of more than 150,000 bookings per day and commands 60 percent of the market share in India. November 2014 Ola also started on-demand auto rickshaw service on its mobile app in Bangalore, Pune and few other cities.
